We Built a Nursing Space at the Expo. We Called It The Nest.

Mackensi from Iris Maria Photography asked a simple question when she confirmed her booth.

"Will there be somewhere a nursing mom can go?"

That question stayed with me. Because the honest answer was: no. Not really. Not in a way that said we'd thought about it.

So we built one. We named it The Nest.

What It Is

The Nest is a private, curtained corner on the expo floor — not a restroom, not a hallway with a chair, not an afterthought. A real space with a name, so nursing mothers know it was made for them.

Here's what you'll find inside:

• A cushioned armchair and soft lighting
• Battery string lights draped overhead
• Fresh florals from Heather Florals on the side table
• Cold water and a light snack
• A copy of the vendor guide, so the time isn't wasted

Curtain open means available. Curtain drawn means occupied. No need to ask anyone or find a staff member. It just works.

Why It Matters

New moms are getting married. And new moms are coming to bridal shows — with babies, with partners, with a logistical calculation running in the back of their mind the whole time.

"Is there somewhere I can nurse if I need to?" is a real question that affects whether someone comes at all. We wanted the answer to be: yes, and it's beautiful, and it has a name.

"A bridal show should feel like it was made for women. The Nest is a small thing that says we thought of everything."

It's also on the floor map at check-in. It's listed in the FAQ at theaisle.app. It will be clearly signed. You won't have to hunt for it.

The fresh stems in The Nest come from Heather Florals — one of our founding vendors and the force behind the Bloom Bar on the expo floor. Her branding card will be on the table.

It's a small detail. It's also the right detail.
